>Pattern repeat: 8 stitches and 18 rows.

* Mark the 1st, 2nd and every following 7th and 8th stitches with a piece of waste yarn.

Knit 6 rows.

Mark the 5th, 6th and every following 7th and 8th stitches as before.

Knit 6 rows.

Release 1st, 2nd and every following 7th and 8th stitches from needles and ladder down to waste yarn markers.

Insert latch tool in marked stitches, slip both stitches behind the latch.

Rib up, taking three strands to form each stitch.

Re-hang loops on empty needles.

Knit 6 rows.

Release 5th, 6th and every following 7th and 8th stitches, ladder down and rib up as before.

The sample was knitted on the Bond using DK yarn and the old keyplate two.
