>For this stitch it is better to use a keyplate one size larger than usual for the yarn used.

Knit 2 rows for the foundation on an odd number of needles.

Starting with the 2nd needle from the end, place every other needle into holding position.

Knit 1 row.

Return needles to working position and drop only the un-knitted loop (not the stitch).

Knit 3 rows.

Using single transfer tool, pick up the un-knitted loop and place on the needle directly above.

Knit 1 row.

The sample was knitted on the Bond using DK yarn and the old keyplate 3.
