o = needle in non working position
a, b, c, d, e = needles in working position which are used for the cables

l l l o a b c d e o l l l

Put stitches a, b, c onto the 3 prong tool and stitches d, e onto the 2 prong tool.

Transfer stitches a, b, c to needles c, d, e then stitches d, e onto needles a, b.

Knit 6 rows.

Repeat.

5 Stitch Cable

The sample was knitted on the Bond using DK yarn and the old keyplate 2.
